THE FARNUM FAMILY
In 1635 the ship "James", John May master sailed for New England in July and arrived at Boston the last week in September. Listed as passengers were:
Ralph Farnum, 32; Mrs. Alice Farnum, 28; Mary, 7;
Thomas, 4; and Ralph, 2. He reportedly came from Leicestershire, England and was a barber-surgeon.
Ralph Farnum was a proprietor of Ipswich, Mass.in 1639 and soon after this he removed to Andover, Mass.
Of the six children, two lines are given for the Russ Family.

John Farnum, b. 20 Jan 1670, d. ?'14 Feb 1671.
John Farnum, b. 13 Apr 1672, d. 9 Sept 1749 at Mendon, Mass. Married 30 June 1693, Mary^ Tyler.
Married Nov. 1733 Mrs. Abigail Marsh.
Stephen Farnum, b. 19 Oct 1674.
ANNE FARNUM, b. 11 Dec 1677, Andover, Mass. the fourth child of John Farnum and Rebecca Kent, d. 31 Dec 1742. She married 17 Apr 1701 THOMAS RUSS of Andover. (See Thomas Russ 14). Thomas died 27 Nov 1707 leaving her with four small children. Anne married #2 John Johnson on 9 Sept 1723, as his third wife, the first being Elinor Ballard who died in 1707 and the second Mary Farnum, who died 17 May 1723.
David Farnum, b. Oct 1681, d. 30 Nov 1687.
