Maude's New York death certificate shows her full name was "Maude A.
Proper", born on June 24, 1882 in Huntersland, NY and died on May 28, 1943 in Schenectady, NY. She was buried in Rotterdam, NY. Her husband listed was Raymond H. Proper. The "A" for her middle name was probably for Allen, her adoptive parents.
Maude first married Nelson Flint, second to Edward Ingram, and a third time to Raymond H. Proper as told by Grandma Margaret Woodward. She said Maude only had one child by Flint and no other children. She said this child was Ernest S. Flint who was living in Marathon, NY. In 1976, we contacted Ernest who verified the above information, and said he was born on January 8, 1902 and married Adelaide Russell. Based on Ernest's age, his parents married around 1901 (Maude still single in 1900 census). Ernest said his parents divorced. Maude then married Edward Ingram, had no children, and they divorced. This fits in with "Maud Flint" showing up in the 1910 census of Schenectady City, NY where she is listed as a "lodger", age 25, divorced, in the home of Ella Crosby, widow, age 34. She has no child with her in 1910. Maude next married, Raymond H. Proper, as she shows up in the 1930 census of Schenectady, NY as "Maude Proper". They were living in the home of Raymond's parents, and Maude was listed as their "daughter-in-law".
In 2003, we contacted Ernest S. Flint's step-daughter, Thelma Flint Utter, for an update on her family. She gave us the following information on her, and her siblings:
1. Thelma Flint - born 1923, was the daughter of Adelaide Russell before she married Ernest Flint. She lived last in Glen Aubrey, NY and married Harris Utter. Thelma told us that after Maude deserted the family, they had nothing to do with her. Thelma had at least one son, David Utter.
2.	Nelson E. Flint - born March 3, 1925 and died November 30, 1989. He married Lucille Cooper. They lived in Cincinnatus, NY and had at least one child, Charles Flint, residing in Cincinnatus, NY.
3.	Clara Flint - died at age 2.
4.	Robert Flint - born 1927 and resides in Mission, TX.
5.	Florence Flint - died as an infant.
6.	Ransom Flint - born February 18, 1932, died July 18, 2003, and resided in Marathon, NY.
Margaret Loretta Seeley, second wife of Stanley Ezra Weidman, was born on May 13, 1902 in East Galway, Saratoga Co., NY. She was the daughter of Warren Edward Seeley and Alice Elizabeth Myres. Grandma told us that she was born in East Galway, while her marriage record says she was born in Providence, NY. This is a small community in Saratoga, Co. a few miles from East Galway. Her death certificate says she was born in Milton, NY which is also in the same area. We will use East Galway as her place of birth, simply because Grandma told this to us, herself. She previously resided in Schenectady, Rock City Falls, Ballston Spa, Binghamton, and Endicott, NY.
