and is buried in Vestal Hills Memorial Park, Vestal, NY. He also has a headstone in that cemetery.
Stanley Ezra Weidman married twice, first to Irene E. Brandt around 1911. She had red hair, and they divorced after a few years. They had one son called "Raymond" who was last known to be living around Amsterdam, NY.
In 2010, we tracked down Raymond's son, John W. Weidman residing in Delmar, NY. He is the son of Raymond F. Weidman born January 24, 1912 in Watervliet, NY. Raymond F. married twice, first to (name unknown), had one son, Raymond Weidman, and lived last around Albany, NY, and John has lost contact with his half-brother years ago. John's father married a second time to his mother, Marion R. Stewart, and he is their only child. John has two daughters: Jamie and Kelly Weidman. John has his father's NY birth certificate that says "Raymond Stanley Weidman" was born in Niskayuna, NY on January 24, 1912. It lists his parents as "Stanley E. Weidman, age 24, and Irene E. Brandt, age 20. John said his father never liked "Stanley" for a middle name, but used "F" instead. He said his father, Stanley F., died on August 23, 1993 and lived last in Troy, NY. In the 1920 census of Watervliet, NY, we find "Raymond S. Weidman" and his mother, Irene Weidman living in the home of her father, Robert Brandt.
Stanley Ezra Weidman married the second time on November 5, 1919 to Margaret Loretta Seeley in Binghamton, NY. She was the daughter of Warren Edward Seeley and Alice Elizabeth Myres. They had the five previously mentioned children in Binghamton, NY. Stanley Ezra lived the last three years of his life in Endicott according to his death certificate.
Stanley Ezra Weidman's parents were Ezra A. Weidman and Eudora "Dora" Crosby. According to Ezra A. Weidman's NY death certificate, he was born on April 8, 1852 in Huntersland, Schoharie Co., NY the son of "Jacob Weidman and unknown mother." The information on Ezra's death certificate was given by "Mrs. Maude Proper of Schenectady, NY." This was Ezra's step-daughter and she apparently knew little about her step-father's past. We have various records to prove Ezra's parents were actually Noah Weidman and Nancy Willman to be discussed shortly. This record says Ezra was a farmer by profession and died from kidney failure and a weak heart. He died on August 16, 1935 in Endicott, NY. He was living with his daughter-in-law, Margaret Seeley Weidman in Endicott at his time of death. He moved in with her, after Margaret's husband, Stanley Ezra died in 1934. Grandma Margaret also told us that Ezra A. Weidman is buried in Vestal Hills Cemetery with a headmarker and dates. He lived most of his life in the Cobleskill, NY rural area. He was an average size man with brown eyes. There are no known photos of him. In the process of researching this family, we have found the name Weidman incorrectly spelled as Wideman, Wiedman, Weedman, etc.
Ezra A. Weidman and Eudora Crosby married on July 2, 1885 in Berne, Albany Co., NY. We found this record in the Town Clerk's office in Berne. It also said Ezra was age 31, and born in Huntersland, NY, the son of Noah Weidman and Nancy Willman. He was listed as a "farmer". Eudora, age 23, was listed as born in Middleburgh, NY and the daughter of Charles Crosby
