MRS. DeMONTLUZIN RITES
Funeral services for Mrs. Venie Word deMontluzin, who died suddenly at Mercy Hospital in New Orleans of a heart attack were held Tuesday afternoon from the Fahey F.uneral Home in Bay St. Louis. Religious services were conducted by the Kev. C. R. Johnson at U?e funeral home, Christ Episcopal Church and at the graveside in Cedar Rest Cemetery. Pallbearers were Don McCulloch, Dr. B. L. Ramsey, Sam Whitfield, Dr. Bert Quigley, Henry Picalouga of New Orleans, Richard Drown, John J. McDonald and Richard Shadoin. Ladies of the Eastern Star acted as Honor Guards.
Mrs. deMontluzin was a charter member of the Order of Eastern Star and past worthy matron. She? was also a member' of the first complete graduation class of Bay High School.
She was a native of Oxford, Miss., and spent the greater part
of her childhood there. From there she came to Bay St. Louis and later to New Orleans. She was marired in 1908.
She was activ e in . lany civic and social affairs.
Survivors are her hujband, Rene deMontluzin Sr.; her son Rene deMontluzin Jr., and a granddaughter, Loraine deMontluzin.	,
Other survivors include five sisters, Miss Mattie Word, Mrs. Anna Grebbin, Mrs. Elizabeth Dubuc, Mrs. 'H. R. Picalouga, all of New Orleans, and Mrs. Theo Combel of Mobile, Ala.
