Blackwell, Mary A. - December 26, 1999
Mary Alice Blackwell, 78, of Picayune, died Sunday, Dec. 26, 1999, in Gulfport.
Mrs. Blackwell was born in Hancock County and was a retired school bus driver for Pearl River and Hancock County. She was a member of Corinth Baptist Church in Nicholson.
Survivors include three sons, Bobby Blackwell of Deaux, and Larry Blackwell and Steve Blackwell, both of Carriere; three daughters, Helen Demers of Carriere, Bonnie Dawsey of McNeil and Linda Fleming of Nicholson; three sisters, Hilda Hayden of Pass Christian, Ria Reese of Biloxi and Violetta Faye of Kiln; two brothers, John Ladner and J. D. Ladner, both of Kiln; 15 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
Services were conducted Tuesday at Picayune Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Turtleskin Cemetery in Hancock County.
