Thomas, Nell - September 10, 1999
Nell Thomas 91, of Waveland, died Friday, Sept. 10, 1999 in Pass Christian.
Mrs. Thomas was a native of Silver Creek. She was a retired housekeeper and was a member of St. Rock Methodist Church. Survivors include five sons, Walter Thomas of Houston, Texas, Julius Thomas, James Thomas, Edward Thomas Jr. and Oscar Thomas Jr., all of Waveland; eight daughters, Julie Thomas of Bay St. Louis, Betty Thomas, Pinkie Lee Smith, Rose Marie Thomas Elouise Johnson, Mary Hall, Ester Thomas, Marie James, all of Waveland; a sister, Lee Hartwell of New Orleans; 64 grandchildren, 15 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday, Sept 17 at 9-10 p.m. at Mt. Chapel Baptist Church in Waveland. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, Sept 18 at 11 a.m. at the church, followed by burial in Waveland Cemetery.
Bishop Cook Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
