Bourgeois, Sylvanie - January 26, 1958
Mrs. Sylvanie Bourgeois LaFontaine, 88 years of age, died at 2:30 a. m. Sunday, January 26, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John Favre, 344 St. George Street. Daughter of the late John and Clara Necaise Bourgeois, and widow of the late Oscar Lafontaine.
Survivors include her daughter, Mrs. Favre, six sons, Alcee, New Boston, Texas; James, Pass Christian; Roland, Theodore and Woodrow, Bay St. Louis; and Ora, Pass Christian; two sisters, Mrs. Sidonia Kauffman; Waveland, Mrs Rose Oliver, Bay St. Louis; 24 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon from Fahey Funeral Parlors, at 2:45 o'clock with religious services from Our Lady of the Gulf Church. Interment in Cedar Rest Cemetery.
