Ladner, Leontine - February 18, 1957
Mrs. Leontine Ladner, 85, died Monday at 11 P.M. at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Edwin Fiers, 2432 St. Roch Avenue, New Orleans, after a short illness. A native of Hancock County, Mrs. Ladner had been making her home with her daughter in New Orleans for the past five years.
Other than Mrs. Fiers, Mrs. Ladner is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Octave Matherne, New Orleans, and Mrs. Clarence Saucier, Bay St. Louis; one foster daughter, Mrs. J. N. Benvenutti, Bay St. Louis; two sisters, Mrs. A. M. Kingston, Biloxi, and Mrs. A. J. Besancon, Bay St. Louis; 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was the daughter of the late Angela Battie and Leon Ladner, Bay St. Louis.
Funeral services were held from the Fahey Funeral Home Wednesday at 1:45 P.M. with religious rites at Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church following at 2:00 P. M. Burial was in Cedar Rest Cemetery.
