LaFontaine, Sylvanie Bourgeois - January 26, 1958
Mrs. Sylvanie Bourgeois LaFontaine, 88, died Sunday at 2:30 a.m. at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John. Favre, 344 St. George St., Bay St. Louis. She was born Jan. 10, 1870, daughter of the late John and Clara Necaise Bourgeois and wife of the late Oscar LaFontaine.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Favre; six sons, Alcee, New Boston, Tex.; James, Pass Christian; Roland, Theodore, and Woodrow, Bay St. Louis; and Ora, Pass Christian; two sisters, Mrs. Sidonia Kauffman, Waveland, Mrs. Rose Oliver, Bay St. Louis; 24 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held this afternoon at 2:45 o'clock from Fahey Funeral Home with religious services at 3 o'clock from Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church. Interment will be in Cedar Rest Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Ed Price Sr., Gerald Price Sr., Roland LaFontaine Jr., Ed LaFontaine, Harold Stigletts and Clayborn Ladner.
