THE L.W. ANDERSON GENEALOGICAL LIBRARY
The L.W. Anderson Genealogical Library was established in 1982 by Anne Anderson to promote the study of genealogy. The library is named in memory of Mrs. Vassar (Lulu Williams) Anderson, grandmother of Ms. Anderson. This collection is non-profit under Section 501 of the Internal Revenue Service Code and donations are tax-exempt. To further education in the field of genealogy, the library has sponsored seminars with well-known speakers, and was the Host Society for the 1988 National Genealogical Society Conference.
This library has experienced phenomenal growth since its inception; due in part because purchases are centered around patron ~xeqxre5tr. The* holdings have ?thus been -able?to grow outside just the "Southern Area" and continue^ to grow in many different directions.
Bound materials include records from over 30 states, with concentration on official Birth, Marriage, Obituary, Probate, Cemetery, Bible, Land, and Military Records. The film collection is extensive and is comprised of numerous Federal Censuses, Military Records, and Special Collections. A few items of interest include but are not limited to:	New England
Historical and Genealogical Society Magazines, Spanish Magazines, General Index to Revolutionary and Civil War Soldiers, The New York Genealogical and Biographical Record, Nacogdoches Texas Archives, Barbour's Connecticut Collection, The New Jersey Archives, The NGS Magazine, and much, much more.
The library is located in Bay St. Louis at 827 Dunbar. HOURS OF OPERATION ARE: 9am to 3 pm Wed- Fri. Sat. by appointment. (For appointments and holiday schedule, Please Call Ahead.)

2nd light to right (Dunbar), go approximately 1/4 mile, turn in before nursing home and follow gravel drive to metal building.
