The L.W. Anderson Genealogical Library was established in 1982 by Anne S. Anderson to promote the study of genealogy. The library was named in memory of Mrs. Vassar (Lulu Williams) Anderson, grandmother of Ms. Anderson.
This collection is non-profit under Section 501 of the Internal Revenue Service Code. Donations are tax- exempt and welcome.
Bound materials include records from over 30 states and several foreign countries. Microfilm records are extensive and cover a wide variety of areas and topics, i.e. Federal Censuses, Military Records. New selections are added monthly.
The library is located at 827, Dunbar Ave in Bay St. Louis, MS. Hours of operation are 9a.m. -to ^8p.m. on Wednesday, 9a.m. to 3p.m. on Thursday and Friday. We will gladly open other times by appointment.

Directions : If you are traveling west on Hwy 90, go across the Bay Bridge, and turn right at the second light. Continue going north approximately 1/4 mile, and turn right off on the gravel road between the Medical Annex bldg and the nursing home. The library is located behind the nursing home.
