NOTE #2: Following also from the picture above are six (6) Commodores of the Gulf Yachting Association (GYA) who served from Bay-Waveland Yacht Club: '57 J. Alvin Weinfurter*; ’67 Henry B. Chapman*; ’92 Basil T. Kennedy; ’97 Frank C. Allen, Jr.*; ’02 Walter G. Chamberlain; ’09 Judith J. Reeves and second generation BWYC Honorary Member '07 Henry G. Chapman served as a second generation Commodore of the GYA from BWYC in 1982. Also from BWYC prior to reorganization in 1949, John A. Rawlins* in 1904 and E.J. Bowers* in 1909 served as Commodores of the GYA.
NOTE #3: A gentleman by the name of T. R. Richardson* was the first Commodore of Bay-Waveland Yacht Club when it was originally established in 1896. E. J. Bowers* served in 1902 as Commodore of BWYC.
NOTE #4: Following are the names of present and past members of Bay-Waveland Yacht Club who have served as Commodores of other yacht clubs: '93 & '94 Frank C.
