Eagan brothers, Marcus and Andrew of Bay-Waveland Yacht Club win the VX ONE North American Sailing Championship
Crew Andrew Eagan and Skipper Marcus Eagan won the VX ONE North American Sailing Championship at Pensacola Yacht Club (PYC) November 08-11 2012. There were 16 boats in the fleet and the Eagan brothers won the 9 race event with finishes of 2-1-1-3-2-(8)-2-2-3 and a total of 16 point. The VX ONE is a boat that the GYA is considering for the Lipton Cup Championship in several years. Finishing 2nd was Sean Fidler and Hayden Bernnett with finishes of 4-2-2-(6)-5-2-3-1-4 and 23 points; in third place was Skip Dieball and Jeff Eiber with finishes of 3-6-7-7-1 -1 -1 -2-(17 DNF) and 28 points. Fourth place went to David Bolyard and David Bolyard Jr. with finishes of 6-3-3-2-4-3-(7)-4-5 and 30 points.
