History Page Anne Edwards Wins the MCYA Sailor of the Year Award for 2010
It has been announced that four time ladies national sailing champion in the Sunfish Class from Bay-Waveland Yacht Club was awarded the Mississippi Coast Yachting Association’s (MCYA) Budweiser Sailor of the Year Award for 2010.
“Every year each club that is a member of the MCYA nominates one person from their club for either their accomplishments in racing or accomplishments to promote sailing or accomplishments for the betterment of sailing. It could be for a variety of reasons. But each club can only nominate one person per year. Then there is a committee that meets for the MCYA and they discuss the nominations and choose a person to be the Budweiser Sailor of the Year.”
