Mortgagee one piece of land one acre and one third front and forty acres back' in the Town of Shieldsborough, bounded by the land of Audey and others.
Instrument recites that this detd is executed for the consideration of $60.99 to grantor in hand paid, and that the condition of the above bill of Sale is such that if the grantor herein shall pay to grantee, Samuel White, the sum of $63.41 with interest thereon on or before October 20th., 1821, then said bill of Sale is to be void; otherwise to remain in full force.
Signed in the presence of one witness.
First recorded in Book A on pages 224 and 225 of the-former Deed Records of Hancock County, Miss.
Proof of Acknowledgment made by Richard P. Creagh, the subscribing witness to the‘'above deed, on April 9, 1823, before William Killan, a Notary Public of Hancock County, Mississippi.
Proof of acknowledgment made April £1, 1823, by Harman Hammond, before John S.Brush, a Justice of the Peace,"in and for the county and State annexed”, "who deposes” that he was present in Samuel Whites office at Bay St.Louis at the time 'specified in the annexed agreement and was witness to the signature of Bathan Hide, although not called upon to witness the same-in writing, and that R.P.Creagh subscribed his name as witness to said bill of Sale in his, Hammonds, presence.
Again fil«d for record Apr.21, 1823, and recorded May 10, 1823, in Book A, pages 310-311 of the former Deed Records of Hancock County, Mississippi; and after said records were destroyed by fire, April 1st., 1854, said deed was filed for *e-record and rerecorded on April IE, 1854, in Book B, pages 92-93 of the present Hancock County Deed Records.
