1910, the same being the first day of said month and the time and place fixed by law for holding said meeting. There were present to-wit:
H. S. Weston President of board, S. J. Craft, J. E. Smith, Thos. J. Mcarthur and L. 0. Bourgeois associate members, A. J. Carver, Sheriff of said county and E. H. Hoffmann Clerk of the board.
The clerk of this board having in accordance with the order of this board made at its last meeting given public notice in the Gulf Coast Progress the official paper of this board and printed and published in the City of Bay St. Louis in Hancock County in this state, for the sale of contract for the building of a new court house for said county of Hancock and inviting sealed proposals to be filed and opened at two o'clock p.m. on this day and proof of publication of said notice having been made and filed, and sundry proposals having been filed with the clerk of this board and at the hour of two o'clock p.m. said proposals were by said clerk submitted to the board and in accordance with said order and notice opened in open board, and it appearing from said proposals so submitted and opened that the proposal of the The Jett Bros Contracting Company a corporation of the state of Alabama is the lowest bid made for the building of said court house and including the granite steps to-wit:	for the sum of
$24989.00, and it further appraring that said proposal is accompanied by a certified check of $500.00 as required by said order and notice, and the board having fully considered the same and being duly advised in the premises, The Jett Bros. Contracting Co. is declared to be the lowest bidder for the building of said court house — It is therefore now ordered that the bid and proposal of The Jett Bros Consracting Co a corporation of the State of Alabama be accepted and the contract for building said court house according to the order of this board and the plans and specification therefor on file at and for the sum of $24339.00 and in addition the granite steps for the sum of $650.00 is hereby awarded to the said The
