Another problem also beset the Board, as evidenced by an order passed on October 26, 1868:
■Ordered by the	Board that a fine	of Two	Hundred
Dollars be imposed upon the County Treasurer for his	non	at-
tendance at the regular meetings of the Board and failing to make returns of the Finances of said County according to law."
On December 10 that year, the Board:
■Resolved that	the Board be called	to meet	at	the
Courthouse in the City of Shieldsborough on the 1st Monday in January 1869 next	for the purpose of	settling	the	ac-
counts of the late Treasurer F. B. Seal, and that the said Treasurer be cited to be and appear at 6aid meeting to make a full settlement of the same."
