Congratulations are in order for the Hancock County Food Pantry upon receiving the United Way of South Mississippi’s Small Agency of the Year Award.
The Food Pantry is one of the most unique agencies providing a very necessary service to our community.
It is an all-volunteer organization involving members from several area churches, and they have been working together for the past 16 years. The Food Pantry has had some great leadership over the years and good community support.	*
Under the current leadership of president Aileen Sauzer, ( the Food Pantry provides food for deserving families on an emergency basis.
The Food Pantry is an agency of the United Way of South Mississippi and also receives funding and food donations from many of the area’s churches, civic organizations, families, postal mail carriers, etc.
Congratulations are in order for the Food Pantry’s officers, directors, volunteers and anyone and everybne who makes some type of contribution.
