He moved there with John Eddy, John Hill, and Daniel Ray, with a letter of dismission from Governor Bradford to Governor Winthrop. Bradford expressed the wish in the letter that Winthrop would do likewise, i.e., let people move from colony to colony, suggesting that perhaps Winthrop was not allowing such movement.
He married Elizabeth ? Briggs in Weymouth, Massachusetts, before 1640. Clement died about 1648 in Weymouth, Massachusetts.

288	William Learned: William was born 1581 in England. He married Judith (Goodith) Gillman in
England, April 22, 1606. He emigrated, 1630. Point of origin: Bermondsey, Surrey, England. William and his wife, Judith, were on the passenger list for the Winthrop Fleet of 1630.
He resided in Charlestown, Massachusetts 1632. William and Goodeth (Judith, or good wife) are the first two names on the list of members of the "present First Church, of Charlestown." The church record states: "1632, 10 mo., day 6, William Learned and Goodeth, his wife, were admitted."
He resided in Wobum, Massachusetts 1640. "He was a subscriber to the town orders for Wobum, drawn up at Charlestown, Dec. 18, 1640; was one of the seven original members of the church in Wobum, which was gathered, Aug. 14, 1643-3; was one of the first board of Selectmen, chosen Ap. 13,
1644, and was re-elected the following year. He was also elected constable (who was in those days the collector of taxes), for the years, 1644 and '45."
