We have tried to locate his marriage record which should be around 1895, based on the age of his first child, but we have not been able to find it. We are sure it is somewhere, but we do not have the time to research it further.
Grandma had a tin photo of hex father (we have copied it) with his son, William, and daughter, Carrie also in it. He was approximately 5' 4" tall, medium build, blue eyes, and light-brown hair. Warren was a farmer by profession, but after he sold his parent's homestead in East Galway around 1909, he moved to Schenectady, NY and worked at a General Electric Plant there. He later worked for a farmer in Rock City Falls, NY. His old homestead was sold to a neighbor, A.C. Ryder, Grandma said. She said it was her father's greatest mistake, and he really paid for it later. It should be noted that the name, Seeley, is often misspelled as Sealey,
Sealy, Seely, etc.
Warren married Alice Elizabeth Myres, daughter of Isaac Myres and Margaret Bridget McGrath. Grandma Woodward said that after apparent domestic problems, her mother, Alice, left home around 1909. She came back home a few times and was last seen around 1913. Grandma said Alice was born in Stillwater, Saratoga Co., NY. She was supposed to have been baptized a Catholic and raised in a Catholic home in Stillwater. Alice had to be placed in this foster home because her mother died when she was a small child, and her father could	not raise her. Grandma	said	her	mother
had "Irish" blood in her and that	has now been confirmed.	She	had	dark
eyes, dark hair, and was a heavy set woman as recalled by Grandma Woodward. After Alice left home, she worked at a Sanatorium in Mt. Gregory, a community near Schroon Lake, NY. She was last known to be living around Albany, NY and possibly died there. Her daughter, Bertha, tried for years to locate her but failed. She used investigators, attorneys, etc. but they found nothing. Thus, there would	be little chance for someone	today to	do
what they could not. We did try but found nothing.
Alice Elizabeth Myres1 father was Isaac Myres. The name Myres is often misspelled Myers, Meyers, etc. We will use the "Myres" spelling because this is the spelling Isaac stated was correct. Isaac Myres, according to his NY death certificate was born in "New York State" on March
2,	1823 (we now know this year is incorrect) and died in Binghamton, NY on February 8, 1924. He died of "cerebral softening" and was listed as a retired farmer. The record does not name his parents or wife. His great-granddaughter, Maude "Peggy" Croffutt in FL, has an old photo of Isaac Myres with her (Peggy) as a child sitting on his lap. He is buried in Floral Park Cemetery, Johnson City, Broome Co., NY. Grandma Woodward had her daughter, Carrie, call that cemetery. They told her he is buried there in the G.A.R. (Grand Army of the Republic) section often used for Civil War Veterans. His cemetery file says he died on "February 8, 1924", but they could not locate his headmarker.
