Myres", age 32, wife, born in Ireland, Mary Myres, daughter, age 10, born in NY, Lovina Myres, daughter, age 3, and Allie Myres, daughter, age 1, born in NY. The census taker tried to spell Bridget, but somehow came up with "Mreget". We were able to find their marriage record at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Mechanicville, NY. This is a small town next to Stillwater. The record shows "Isac Mayer, non-catholic, married Brigittam McGrath on May 23, 187 6". While the spelling is not correct (the priest was trying to use the Latin version of their names as was often done in those days), they are no doubt our Isaac and Bridget. There were no parents listed.
Next we find the Baptism record in the same church for "Helenan Myers, born on September 29, 1877 to Isaac Myers and Margretta McGrath". This is the child that shows up in the 1880 census as "Lovina Myres, age 3". In an
1897	deposition for a Civil War Pension, her father said her name was "Ellen Lavina". Grandma Woodward remembers her being called "Fannie", and she married a man by the last name of Fulton and lived last in Stillwater, NY. Grandma thinks they had one child called Marie Fulton. She had no other information on this aunt of hers. We have found in the 1900 census of Galway, NY, house #355/364 "Fannie Myers", born January 1877, single, and sister-in-law to the head of the house, "Edward (Warren) Seely". This Fannie was of course, the sister of Warren Seeley's wife, Alice.
The last child born to Isaac Myres and Margaret Bridget McGraft was Grandma Woodward's mother, Alice Myres. She was baptized in the same church as "Aliciam Myers, born on June 8, 1879, daughter of Isaac Myers and Bridgeda McGrath". From these records, it is clear that Isaac's wife went by her first and middle names. Grandma also said her mother's full name was Alice Elizabeth Myres.
In researching this family, we learned that Margaret Bridget McGrath had a child before marring Isaac Myres in 1876. This child appears in the 1880 census of Stillwater as cited above. This child was "Mary Myres, age
10,	daughter, born in NY. Backing up to the 1870 census of Stillwater, NY house #172/204, we find "Bridget McGrath, age 24,	(1846), born in Ireland,
with one child, "Mary B. McGraft, age 3/12", (born in early 1870) in NY.
She was living as a "servant" in the home of Timothy and Mary Burns, natives of Ireland. This is no doubt the same child that shows up in Isaac Myres home in 1880. Who the father was and what happened to her is unknown. We did find what appears to be Margaret Bridget McGrath Myres death date. It is recorded in the Town Clerk's Office in Mechanicville,
NY. The record shows "Bridget Myers, age 44, born in Ireland, died on Jan. 20, 1884 from pulmonary consumption". We suspect she is buried in or around Stillwater where she died. The children of Warren Edward Seeley and Alice Elizabeth Myres were:
I.	Harvey Seeley - was the first born in the family around 1896 but died as an infant. Grandma could not remember what he died from.
II.	Bertha Mae Seeley - born on October 8, 1897 and died on December 19,
