She was the daughter of Hans George Steinecker who was from the same town his daughter was born in.
George "John" Bateholts, father of Maria "Elizabeth" Bateholts, was born in Brunswick, Rensselaer Co., NY. He married Elisabeth Steiner on December 7, 1779 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Schoharie,	NY and	had twelve	children.	He died
after 1800 in the town of Middleburgh, NY.
Elisabeth Steiner, wife of George "John" Bateholts, was born in 1755 and baptized on October 21, 1755 at The Reformed Church of Schoharie, NY. She was the daughter of Casper Steiner and Anna Weidmann.
Casper Steiner was born around 1730 in Eschenmosen, Switzerland the son of Johann Steiner. He married Anna Weidmann on December 26, 1752 at the Schoharie Reformed Church in Schoharie, NY and had at least eight children. He probably died at Berne, NY.
Anna Weidmann, wife of Casper Steiner, was born in Steinmaur, Switzerland. She was the daughter of Johann Jacob "Hans" Weidmann and Anna Surber von Dachberg. She probably died at Berne, NY.
