Under the Spanish, many grants were recognised. Fror 17°-0 on
they vere recorded, recognising many who had lived on the land sin~e
the French neriod.

July 16, 17B3 - Francisco Carriere received 1,200 acres at Eay St. Loi TTe had received 6,000 acres on June ?5, 1781, at Pass Christ:-The land was not inhabited or cultivated.
August 21, 1787 - Joseph Boisdere (Boisidore) received land which vas not inhabited.
^eb. 10, 178° - Constancis Tardif also did not receive the land since it was not inhabited.
178^ - Iouisa Bosarge received land at Le Berie on Aug. 1°, 1795, where the family had lived since 178U.
Dec. 12, 1798 - louis A. Lessassier received 600 acres vhich vas not previously inhabited.	"

Aug. 26, 1783 - Louis Boisdore, the original claimant, received land fro”i Bay St. Louis to Pearl River issued by Governor Tiro. Since it covered several hundred thousand acres it comprised most of Hancock County.
